The Government has launched The UK Business Climate Hub a new website for businesses looking for support on how to reduce carbon emissions. This collaboration between government, businesses and industry groups will enable SMEs to take action.
Research published revealed that SMEs generate 44% of the UK’s non-household greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions but 90% felt restrained by obstacles ranging from cashflow to difficulty finding the right solutions.
The new Business Climate Hub is focused on helping SMEs reducing energy use, therefore saving money at a time when many are suffering from the impact of inflation and the higher cost of doing business.
The hub offers practical information on eight areas, including buildings energy, electric vehicles and transportation, renewable energy, waste and recycling, production and cold storage and supply chain,
