The Powering Up Britain publications announced that Government will develop a dedicated energy advice service for SMEs. The Department for Energy Security and Net Zero are now working with the design research team at Softwire to understand what small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) think about their energy use (e.g. electricity, gas or other fuels).
To do this, the Department are looking for a cross-section of businesses to take part in short session to test early concepts and designs. Your participation will help shape government policy, and ensure the new service meets business needs. Also, a £50 Giftpay voucher is available for participating SMEs.
Please find further details below –
Location: The research will take place remotely on your computer or smartphone using video conferencing software (Microsoft Teams or similar)
Time: 45-60 minute slots scheduled from w/c 21st August-mid September; in office hours: 9.30AM-5.30PM
What to expect: On the day, you’ll meet a Softwire researcher who will brief you on the project and guide you through the session. The interviews will be conducted on a 1-1 basis, your feedback will not be shared with any other participants. If you have any special accessibility or other needs, we will do our best to make sure we can accommodate these. There are no right or wrong answers — we’re just interested getting your feedback on early design concepts for a new digital service, so please speak as openly and as honestly as you like. Your feedback will help us develop the right type of energy support service that SMEs need. After that, we will arrange your payment of a £50 Giftpay voucher.
