Good morning and welcome to this week’s Friday Brief! The weather may be drizzly but at least the weekend looks promising!
To begin we would like to inform you about a new law that has passed. The Protection Against Redundancy (Pregnancy and Family Leave) Act 2023 came into force on 24 July – and while it hasn’t been enforced straightaway as the regulations haven’t been published yet, now’s the time to make sure you’re doing everything right when it comes to employee pregnancy. A new order has been made regarding steel & steel products which will affect all manufacturers who intend to export to India any steel and steel products, to obtain a valid license from the Bureau of Indian Standards, for use of a Standard Mark, before commencement of regular production of such items. We have received MACH Machine Tool’s new press release. New Area Sales Engineer appointment in the Midlands increases The Vigilance Group’s presence and profile in the region, helping it to meet the growing demand from customers for its products and services. The Vigilance Group, comprising MACH Machine Tools and Machine Tool Sales Online (MTSO), has strengthened its sales operations in the Midlands with the appointment of Stuart Woolridge as its new Midlands Area Sales Engineer.
