At its recent General Assembly meeting, CECIMO published its biannual Statistical Report. This covers machine tools data on production, orders, consumption and trade (exports/imports) for machine tools across the 15 member countries of CECIMO. As well as data for the individual countries, the European (CECIMO) aggregate is placed in a global context with comparisons with Asia and the Americas in each section.

ECTA is the grouping of associations representing manufacturers of cutting tools (it also has some individual company members where there is no association). Each year, they compile an exchange of statistics for this product group and the latest summary, covering 2023 with an outlook for 2024, is available to download below. The “European” summary covers Germany, Spain, Switzerland and the UK and there is also some data for Italy (only for exports and consumption).

Both of these reports can be accessed in the members area of the MTA website at https://www.mta.org.uk/members-area/market-intelligence/global-mt-report/ – scroll down the page to find the CECIMO Statistical Report and the ECTA Statistical Exchange.
